Dormers are used to create usable space in the roof by adding headroom, creating more living space and enabling the addition of windows. A dormer can be placed on the side or rear elevations and the roofs are either flat or pitched.

A hip-to-gable conversion involves replacing a roof hip with a gable end wall. This creates extra headroom and adds extra living space to your new floor.

A Juliette Balcony is a perfect way to add more light to your room, by allowing you to replace a conventional window with patio doors onto a balcony with railings.
